On November 10, Project 88 inaugurated Munem Wasif's second solo-exhibition at their gallery in Mumbai, India. The exhibition is titled "Kromosho"--'step by step' in Bengali--and features Wasif's body of work, which the artiste has developed over almost two decades. Munem Wasif’s image-based works often mix photographs with moving images, archive documents or collected paraphernalia to reveal notions of impermanence and insecurity. A major theme throughout his work, is the philosophy of leaving things open to interpretation.
On October 4, this year’s Booker Prize winning author Shehan Karunatilaka posted on his social media that a claim has been made by a “journalist from Colombo” that the idea for his novel, The Seven Moons of Maali Almeida was “stolen”.

Capturing the most precious moments of the biggest day of someone’s life while ensuring that you are doing justice to them can indeed be a very daunting task. However, Ata Mohammad Adnan has been making the whole process look seamless. An endocrinologist with a passion for photography, Ata has been conveying peoples’ stories to the world through photos for over a decade and with his initiative Reminiscence Photography, he has been immortalising the intimacies and intricacies of Bangladeshi weddings with his lens.
