Central bank says it has nothing to do with Bangladesh Bank Sangbad magazine

Bangladesh Bank Sangbad, a magazine, is not affiliated with Bangladesh Bank (BB) in anyway, which has been using the monogram of BB and sending letters to various financial institutions asking for advertisements, the central bank said in a press release.

The use of the BB monogram had created confusion among the financial institutions, which came into the notice of the banking regulator.

It was further clarified that the magazine is illegally using the monogram of BB, as a result financial institutions have been asked to be cautious against such fraudulent activities.
