A five-day European Film Festival has begun encompassing films from Bangladesh and Europe. The festival commenced with the screening of the Dutch movie “Mally Can Fly” at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy's National Theater in Dhaka, yesterday evening.
"Learning from Puran Dhaka: The Urbanity of Occupations along the Buriganga Riverfront", a living exhibition and open workshop, was inaugurated on Saturday at La Galerie, Alliance Française de Dhaka.
Earlier today, the 'West Meets East (WME) Screenplay Lab' came to a conclusion at the Alliance Française de Dhaka, as a part of the Dhaka International Film Festival 2023.
The “4th Bangla Art Fest 2022, Mymensingh”, dedicated to Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin, recently successfully concluded at the BGB Park in Mymensingh. The four-day festival featured an international art camp; art activities by the children, promising artists, contemporary artists and renowned artists both local and foreign.The festival was, organised by Art Bangla Foundation and was jointly inaugurated by renowned artist Shahabuddin Ahmed and Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin’s youngest son, engineer Mainul Abedin.
"Shonglogno", a solo exhibition featuring the works of Rakibul Anwar was recently displayed at La Galerie, Alliance Francaise, Dhaka. The exhibition was inaugurated on November 18, in the presence of Her Excellency, Marie Masdupuy, Ambassador of France to Bangladesh; eminent artist Professor Dhali Al Mamoon, and artist-critic Mustafa Zaman.
Under the banner of “To the Root of Art”, the works of Laila Sharmeen, Mini Karim, Tayabuzzaman Khan Topu, Samiran Chowdhury and Zebun Nehar Nayem have been on display at Alliance Francaise since October 2.
